Carolinas Rugby League
went 3-1 over the
weekend, impressing many
at the 2009 USA Rugby
South All-Star
Tournament in Knoxville,
TN. The North Carolina
All-Stars, coached by
CRL Commissioner Andy
Richards, downed Georgia
I in the Cup Semi-Finals
14-11, before falling to
a loaded Mid-South I
team in the
Championship, 23-08. In
the Bowl Division, the
Palmetto team easily
rolled its competition,
sprinting past Mid-South
II 30-08 before crushing
the Deep South 66-00 in
the Bowl Championship.
The two sides' success
promotes the Palmetto
team into next year's
Cup Division, and seeds
the North Carolina
All-Stars #2 overall.
