The Carolinas Rugby
League was founded in
2009 to promote the
growth and continued
success of collegiate
rugby in North and South
Carolina. Featuring
seven of USA Rugby
South's top collegiate
squads, the CRL will
operate as a round-robin
competition each spring
semester. All matches
will count equally in
the standings and, after
the conclusion of league
play, the top Division I
side will advance to the
newly formed South
Division I Final Four,
while the top two
Division II sides will
continue on to the USA
Rugby South Division II
Quarter-Finals. At the
end of each season, the
CRL will also crown its
own overall champion, as
well as name its own MVP
and All-Star XV.
